half a year after we released veeeb version 1.0, which allows you to search in different media channels, we like to introduce you to the veeeb semantic editor.
In version 1.0 we focused on searching media in different channels, like flickr and youtube. Then we established a case, where this features could be of best use. This case was found fast: research.
When you are an a blogger or a professional editor and you are writing an article you need to look up information, look up pictures, look up already written articles. A lot of your time you copy&paste some of the keywords in your article into google and browse for some good answers.
So we wondered: What if this could all be done in one place? Without copy&paste, without looking for the right channels to search in, and without even wondering what keywords should be searched for.
That’s why we created the veeeb semantic editor.
Just write your article and it gets semantically analyzed for the significant keywords (or concepts, as we call it). veeeb automatically retrieves basic information about these concepts. you can then use this concepts to search with them in any plugged in channel you like.
Imagine you are a blogger and you would write your next post with it: just search for corresponding articles and link to them directly with veeeb.
Imagine your are a publishing company – veeeb could communicate with your archive and show you what articles have already been written about your subject or which images you have in your image archive.
veeeb will be pluggable into every website where you write some text. It will communicate with your website and export media or other content as you wish.
If you would like to get more information about the possibilities of veeeb, just send us a mail to info[at]veeeb.com We would really like to know what your ideas around veeeb are.
See you later!
Your veeeb team

veeeb has a vision:
The collection, combining and channeling of content
has to be as easy and appealing as possible.
What do we mean by that?
With the now released version 1.0 we are just getting started on this vision. We spend some valuable time to create the easy-to-use userinterface veeeb has right now. It is a great first step which we want to improve even more with your feedback.
And thats just the beginning: Now you have got an appealing userinterface to search, view and download media in youtube, flickr and our in-house Media-Asset-Management-System Media Suite – which is why veeeb welcomes you with the Media Suite login screen, when starting the programm. We will expand these input-channels in the future and add websites and content to search which really interest you . We are open to your suggestions, so let us know what your favourites would be?
Moreover we not only want you to search media within veeeb but give you the opportunity to collect, save and store media online in veeeb for later use. That’s why we emphasized myBag in veeeb’s userinterface so much and that’s what myBag is intended to accomplish in the next major release of veeeb.
myBag will play a big role afterall, because it will be the pivot between collected and channeled content. veeeb will make it possible to forward your collected content in different channels, which can be a as now a export to Microsoft Word or PowerPoint or later on a blog entry, a email, or a custom website where someone else can access and download your collected content.
This is a brief glimpse on what veeeb will become in the future. I am looking forward to tell you more in the next posts. Can’t wait for your feedback.
